The Rhubarb has been growing like nothing else since we gave it a cosy woven willow fence, the rains probably helped too! On Saturday we had the chance to harvest Furniss Islands very first Rhubarb 😀 Check out Luke in action below..

Trevena Cross Nurseries and Tressillian Garden Centre generously donated some gorgeous plants for the boarder ..they’re now setting in nicely to their new home

Garden Truro festival. For 4 days from Weds 11th-Sat 14th July. Lemon Quay is being transformed into a gardeners paradise with talks, workshops, demonstrations and lots of gorgeous plants! Look out for the Green Walks stall in the marquee. You’ll find Kloe down there on Sat morning, pop by and hi if you’re in town!

Summer Gardening Party As part of the Garden Truro festival, the Plant your Park project is throwing a special gardening party on Furniss Island on Saturday 14th July 2-5pm. It’s a great chance to pick up some practical gardening skills while putting your stamp on a local green space! Gardening experts will be on hand to answer questions and share tips and techniques for getting your own garden looking great!
the July Walk – Summer Special! This month we’ll be learning all about Wild Foods with the help of one of the UKs leading wild foods expert – Marcus Harrison. Places are limited so booking is essential for this get-together. Tickets £5. To book give Kloe a buzz on 07512 846 313.
Eco-Poppers. An eco-evening with stalls, activities, short talks and refreshments. Green walks will have a stall and the lovely Martin will be giving a short talk about the project at 8:15 – not to be missed! Thursday 19th July @ 6-8:30pm, Highertown Church, Truro.
