Spring Clean Truro. For our usual third-Sunday-of-the-month get-together we’ll be joining forces with other community groups in Truro for a BIG city Spring clean as part of Clean Cornwall week.  As it’s St.Patricks day, green-themed fancy dress may be in order!

2013 time travelling

Happy New Year! 🙂  hope you had a fab festive break.  I was in London for New Years, wowey fireworks but part of me wishes I’d spent it in Cornwall and swapped the epic queues, sharp elbows and hot, stuffy tubes for something rather more chilled..  What and/or where’s your ultimate Cornish New Years?..would love to hear any suggestions to keep in store for NY 2014!

January Green Walk Sunday 20th.  We’ll be starting a New Year by going back a few to explore times gone by.  Christine Parnell from the Truro Old Cornwall Society will be leading a gentle stroll around Truros historical city centre, looking back at the city through the ages to discover how Truro became what it is today.  Pick up fascinating facts and stories about local buildings, streets and monuments – sure to impress friends down the pub or family visiting!  Anna Maria Murphy from Cornwalls Kneehigh theatre will also be joining us to collect and share tales and local legends..
Meeting as ever – 2pm in front of Truro Cathedral, back for 4pm.

NOTE: There will be NO test stroll this month, as Christine has a route planned, so no reccieing required.

Finally if you’re got any burning requests for a particular place you’d like to explore or local subject you’d like to learn more about in 2013 let me know as this years itinerary is filling up fast.

Hope to see you on the 20th!
Bestest,
Kloe
